Aluminum hydroxide precipitate. Aluminum hydroxide precipitate (Al(OH)3) formed by adding few drops of a 1M solution of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) to 0.2 M solution aluminum sulfate (Al2(SO4)3). The reaction is Al2(SO4)3 + NaOH -> Al(OH)3 + Na2SO4. This is an example of a double replacement reaction.
