Ophiocytium Algal Colony; Cells of the yellow-green alga Ophiocytium. These cells can exist singly or, as shown here, in in dendroidal, colony-like clusters. Ophiocytium is commonly found in freshwater ponds, pools, lakes, rivers, creeks, and swamps.
