A scenic view taken from off the Military Road. Constructed in 1800-1809 to give the British army access to the Wicklow Mountains after the rebellion of 1798, the Military Road traverses the spine of the mountain range for 34 miles, (54 K). It is one of Ireland's highest running roads.
