A Sonoran Desert wash quickly fills with rapidly running water during a typical summer rain storm. The summer storms come up from the Gulf of California and generally last from July to September. They usually occur in the afternoon, are brief, widely-scattered, and often extremely heavy with rain and profuse lightning. Taken in Saguaro National Park in Tuscon, Arizona.
