Interior structure of a rubber eraser by SEM. An eraser for pencil lines was cut with a steel blade. The elastic material produced a matt (corpuscular) surface by cutting as compression alternated with cutting and the release of pressure. Image width: 197 micrometers. Magnification: 508x if the image is printed 10 cm wide.
