Light micrograph of a malignant fibrous histiocytoma. This benign tumor usually occurs in the hands or feet. Such tumors are made up of cellular fibrous tissue, cells with spaces around them, and numerous histiocyte and macrophage white blood cells. The growth of giant cell tumours can put pressure on adjacent structures, causing them to shrink in size.
