William Bell Scott (left), John Ruskin (center), and Dante Gabriel Rossetti (right) in 1863. Dante Gabriel Rossetti (1828-1882) was an English poet, illustrator, painter, and founding member of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, a group of English painters, poets, and critics. John Ruskin (1819-1900) was the leading English art critic of the Victorian era. William Bell Scott (1811-1890) was a Scottish poet, artist and occasional engraver.
