Watercolor drawing of an aneurysm of the profunda femoris artery, which burst into the muscles of the thigh, causing death in a few hours. It appeared to have been caused by an embolism, as the patient, a man aged 26 years, had disease (vegetative) of the aortic valves. Drawn by Leonard Mark, 1890.
