Martin Luther King, Jr. (1929-1968) was an American clergyman, activist, and prominent leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement. King became a civil rights activist early in his career. King's efforts led to the 1963 March on Washington, where King delivered his "I Have a Dream" speech and established his reputation as one of the greatest orators in American history. In 1964, He was assassinated on April 4, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee. Malcolm X (1925 -1965) was an African American Muslim minister and human rights activist. He has been called one of the greatest and most influential African Americans in history. He was assassinated on February 21, 1965, as he prepared to address the Organization of Afro-American Unity in Manhattan's Audubon Ballroom. According to the autopsy report, Malcolm X's body had 21 gunshot wounds. The three assassins were member of the Nation of Islam.
