Its main products are steel, textiles, confections, beverages, agricultural products from it's rural surrounding areas, chemical products, pharmaceuticals, refined oil, and flowers. Medellin is ahead of Bogota in that it has successfully built a public transportation "Metro" system. Medellin is called 'The City of Eternal Spring' for its superb climate.
