Barton's Springs salamander, Eurycea sosorum. A threatened species known only from Barton Springs within Austin, Texas' Zilker Park. It is a thoroughly aquatic, neotenic species that retains its external gills into the adult stage. It is one a several endangered and threatened salamanders inhabiting subterranean and surface waters of the Edwards Aquifer.
