Late stage chrysalis of the Orange Sulfur Butterfly (Colias eurytheme). The orange color of the almost fully developed butterfly can be seen through the translucent chrysalis skin. Extremely common and widespread throughout the US and into Canada and Mexico. Photographed Dallas, TX.
