A Stick Mantid, (Archimantis latistyla), perches on a Billy Button Flower. These mantids, which resemble a dried stick when at rest, grow to around 10cms in length. They occur in grasslands and open forests and woodlands, and suburban gardens along the east coast of Australia from the far north to the south.
