Emerald Tree Boa, Corallus caninus, is an inhabitant of the Amazon rainforests of South America. It closely resembles the unrelated Green Tree Python of Australia and New Guinea, an excellent example of convergent evolution. Like all boas, it is a constrictor. It reaches a maximum size of four to five feet.
