Olive-backed Oriole (Oriolus sagittatus) tending nestlings in an Australian forest. Orioles, of the family Oriolidae, are fine-voiced and often colorful songbirds with 27 species distributed throughout the "Old World" (Africa, Europe, Asia and Australia). American Orioles are in a different family, Icteridae.
