SANCTUARY OF ROCKS The Shrine of Our Lady of the Rocche in Molare (AL) hosts the Passionist Community. The Sanctuary originated in an apparition of the Madonna in the 16th century; as evidenced by ancient documents; according to which Clarice; a poor woman of Molare who brought a vegetable basket cooked to her husband in the woods; met a beautiful Mrs.; dressed in a rich blue mantle and surrounded by splendid light that made her miraculously look like bread in the poor basket. Madonna then asked her to go to Molare and tell the compatriots that she wanted a Church in her honor there. Commothed and inspired by the story of the vision; Giovan Maria Cazuli; a poor cripple who for years dragged on the crutches; rushed as best he could to the holy place; and returned to him healthy and cheerful. Subsequently; other miraculous events occurred at the sanctuary and the devotion to Madonna delle Rocche was revealed in neighboring countries. Postcard with a panoramic view; the nineteenth-century facade with the early staircase; and the detail of the new statue with the witnesses at the feet of Our Lady with the Child; crowned with a popular devotion with a ceremony held by Cardinal Alfonso M. Mistrangelo on August 10; 1923. Montage ; Italy; 1957
