This statue is part of 'Another Place', a sculptural work consisting of 100 cast iron statues facing out to sea. The work is by British sculptor Antony Gormley (born 1950). Originally cast in 1997 and exhibited in several locations, the work was installed at Crosby Beach near Liverpool, UK, with permission for the statues to remain as a permanent feature granted in 2007.
