RENAISSANCE The city of Augusta and the "Fuggerei"; highlighted above; the neighborhood that the famous merchant and banker Jacob Fugger had it built in 1520 to provide workers healthy dwellings at low prices; anticipating the utopian city-workers designed by the great sociologists of ' 800 as Robert Owen. Even in the XXI century the houses are managed by the foundation Fugger and dates in use to poor citizens and Catholics; who use them in exchange for ridiculously low rents; but with a commitment to pray daily for the benefactor and his family.
