Deng Zhong is a character in the classic Ming Dynasty novel 'Fengshen Yanyi'; and is the primary figure of the four Mount Yellow Blossom's lords. Deng Zhong was described as having an indigo face; with long crimson hair and protruding buck teeth. He wielded a great golden axe.

He was originally a foe of Grand Old Master Wen Zhong of the Shang Dynasty; and was killed by him during their first encounter. However; Deng would later be revived and became a loyal sword to Wen Zhong; serving under Wen Zhong during the Western Foothills campaign; where he battled it out with Huang Feihu.
