INDIA Sculptures of elephants and dancers outside of the Temple of the Sun. The Sun Temple (Temple of the Sun); to Modhera in Gujarat; was constructed by king Bhimdev I in XI the century. It was planned so that during the equinoxes the sun to the dawn illuminated the image of Surya; the God of the sun. Currently religious ceremonies are not carried out you. In the main room there are 12 niches to the walls that illustrate the 12 various manifestations of Surya in the several months of the year.
