PUMPKIN (Cucurbita) are identified with the term pumpkin fruits of different plants belonging to the Cucurbitaceae family; especially some species of the genus Cucurbita (Cucurbita maxima and Cucurbita moschata) but also species belonging to other genres such as Lagenaria vulgaris or pumpkin ornamental. The pumpkin is commonly used in the cuisine of different cultures: in addition to the pumpkin; they also eat seeds; salt appropriately. In Anglo-Saxon countries pumpkin is used for the construction of the Jack-ou0026#39;-lantern; lantern rudimentary feature used during Halloween to ward off witches and ghosts.
