According to tradition; the father Urbano; official of the emperor Diocletian; tried in every way to convince her to give up Christianity; but the eleven year old Cristina; albeit confined in a tower and then beaten and scourged not renounced the Faith; imprisoned and tried in court; she suffered terrible tortures not withdraw. Sentenced to death by drowning; they tied a heavy stone around his neck and he was cast into the lake of Bolsena; but the angels lifted the stone and brought to shore; his father; distraught with grief; he died; but his successor Dione continued persecution against him; and after countless other tortures the young remained finally killed by two spears.
