Forty Brighton Barrow Boys, protesting against restrictions on their trading imposed by Brighton Town Council marched from Victoria Coach Station to the Home Office to present a petition to Mr Chuter Ede the Home Secretary. Street trading was stopped on all but 12 of Brighton's streets, but the council then agreed to license recognised street traders and give them stands.
