Mr A d'Antiques, of Hight street Colliers Wood, was shot dead while trying to prevent the escape of three masked men, raiding a jeweller's shop, at the corner of Charlotte Street and Tottenham Court road, this afternoon, his machine along the street and had jumped off and put the motor cycle in the path of a car, with its engine running, was awaiting the hold up men as they dashed from the shop.
