In unknown Irish horse, bought the ?0 in the Dublin sale, stole the Grand National at Aintree this afternoon to win at 100-1 by 20 lengths. The horse Caughoo, is owned by Mr JJ McDowall and was ridden by E Dempsey. 2nd was Mrs M Rowe's Laugh Conn, also Irish. Third, four lengths away, was Sir Gordon Smith's French bred Kami. Gallant favourite Prince Regent, who finished third last year, was fourth today. 36 of the 57 starters failed to complete the course.
