They don't mind if they do!. A team of experts, headed by that noted connoisseur of matters, alcoholic, Col Chinstrap of Itma (Mr Jack Train), had the enviable task of judging at today's Cocktail Competition organised by the United Kingdom Bartenders Guild and held at the Albany Club, Saville Row, London. Other judges were Sir Alexander Maxwell, head of the Government's Tourist and Catering Board, Mr H A Jones, managing director of Grosvenor House, comedians Bud Flanagan and Leslie Henson. Fifty new varieties were submitted by bartenders all over the country, and all had a base of run-a condition of the contest. The judges were restricted to 4 drinks a piece a necessary precaution against the competition getting out of hand and an assurance that none of the entries would be prejudiced by encountering a jaded palate. Photo shows, to the judges, Sid Field (left) and Jack Train (Col Chinstrap' I Don't Mind What Do') have a practice round with bartender Eddie Clarke at the Albany Club, London, today (Monday). 10 March 1947
