The executive of the Players Union, the footballers trade union, met the Football League management committee, to discuss pay increases the footballers, at Midland hotel, Manchester, yesterday. The 2 bodies were brought into conference through the mediation of the Ministry of Labour. The players in the senior clubs the union is demanding an increase in the maximum pay from ?0-?2 a week in the season and ?-?0 in the summer.
