The Queen Elizabeth in dry dock. After hold-up at 12 hours due to unfavourable weather, the 'Queen Elizabeth' move today, Wednesday from 101 birth in Southampton, New Dock to the King George V dry dock for the next stage of her conversion from troopship to luxury passenger liner. The operation of getting the giant liner into the dock, where she will remain free about two weeks, took nearly 90 minutes. She is due to make her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York as a passenger liner on 16 October.
