A British soldier stands guard duty, outside of primitives "guards hut" built by the local inhabitants in the street in the Falls Road area here recently. Inside two small boys are immersed in conversation, whilst hidden in a far corner, another British soldier rests is really feet. Behind the soldier, one of the very last remaining barricade still stands, with a slogan written in white paint scrawled across it. The soldiers are on a 24-hour watch in the area, six hours on and six hours off. 24 September 1969
