Injured In Paris Riots. Blood streams down the faces of injured men, and a woman, coat blood-splattered, holds a hand to a bruised eye after the riot staged in Paris as protest against the presence of a German officer at the conference on the Pleven plan for a European army. About 550 people were arrested in the demonstrations - forbidden by the Government - around the Place de l'Opera. More that 7,000 police and Mobile Guards were on duty. Near the Place de la Bastille, demonstrators tore up paving stones and threw them at police. Paris, France. 16 February 1951.
