Burlington Arcade restored . The entrance to Burlington Arcade now completely restored from the bombing it received during the war , and now sold by the Duke of Devonshire ( whose kinsman , Lord George Cavendish built it in 1818 ) to the Prudential Assurance Company . The Arcade was the first shopping Arcade to be built in England and has been the haunt of the dandy since the days of Beau Brummel .
