Under the sign of Lambeth Walk public house , actor Lupino Lane ( in bowler hat ) joins Pearly Kings and Queens in doing the Lambeth Walk after a cermony at which the former Mason Arms and China Walk (South East London ) had been renamed after the popular song and dance . Mr J Marriott , Pearly King of Finsbury , performed the opening ceremony . Other Pearly Kings and Lupino (he made the Lambeth Walk song and dance famous in the " Me and My Girl " show ) attended . 3rd April 1951
