The Lion of Hungerford on the move. Made by William Frederick Woodington in 1837 it sat on top of the old Lion Brewery and was a symbol of the South Bank on the River Thames for over 100 years until it moved first in readiness for the Festival of London, near Waterloo Station in 1949. Since 1966 it has be located on the east end of Westminster Bridge.
