The "artificial tortoise", one of the most intriguing inventions demonstrated during the Robot technician conference in Paris. The artifical tortoise is motioned by the power of an electric ray of a pocket torch. It never bumps into objects and can be moved in any direction just by dimming or brightening the electric ray. It is an invention by Walter Grey who is pictured with the device. 15th January 1951
