A new and more revealing picture of a Soviet medium-range ballistic missile site in Cuba which has just been released by the United States Defence Department. This picture was taken from a lower altitude that those issued earlier by the Defence department. It was aerial photos like this one that let President Kennedy to impose a blockade on Cuba. Mr Khruschev agreed to temporarily suspend arms shipments to Cuba. The "cherry picker" in this picture is a mobile high-level platform. 26th October 1962
