The Royal Visit to Kenya Their Royal Highnesses Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh will shortly leave Britain for their Royal tour of Kenya, Ceylon, Australia and New Zealand. During their visit to Kenya they will be staying at the Royal Lodge on the slopes of Mount Kenya, the Colony's wedding gift to the Royal Couple. Not far away is the Outspan Hotel at Nyeri where many visitors to the country frequently stay in hope of seeing big game in its natural surroundings. The hotel has an annexe overlooking a watering hole where often wild game may be seen on a moonlit night. This picture shows the Outspan Hotel's annexe known locally by the name of "Treetop Hotel". It is possible that their Royal Highnesses may find time to spend an evening there in the course of their sojourn at the Royal Lodge, twenty miles away. 16th January 1952
