Famous wartime bus televised in pageant of transport at Chiswick. London's buses, from the old horse-drawn vehicles to 'Old Bill' and the modern Leviathans seating over 60 people, were televised in a 'Pageant of Transport' at London transport's Chiswick depot. The buses, which were manned by men in appropriate costume, were brought from London transport's own museum. Photo shows, 'Old Bill', the bus which carried thousands of British troops during the great War, being televised at Chiswick. 14 January 1938
