Two soldiers and another man charged. Sequel to revolver battle at Barking. Two soldiers, one aged 16, were remanded at Stratford Petty Sessions, charged with shooting at police officers with intent to murder. They were further charged with Frederik George Clark, aged 21, of Bethnal Green, with demanding money with menace from Edgar Allvey of Archibald Street, Bow. The soldiers were described as Andrew Vanderbury, aged 37, of Mile End Road, and Reginald Eddie Kaye, aged 16, of Rock Ferry, Cheshire, troopers in the 12th Lancers, stationed at Tidworth. The charges follow the revolver battle between police and fugitives in a Barking Street.
