Strong hand of the law. New York police recruiting a 'glamour squad'. New York City is infusing 'glamour' into the feminine division of its police department. It is now out for beauty as well as brains, and is interested in police women with svelte figures and attractive faces, who know their way about in the city's smart places. 5000 applications were received for 31 vacancies. The girls must have fine physique, be at least 5'2" tall and between 21 and 29 years of age. The Department believes that the girls will be able to do 'undercover' work impossible for men.
