The old Colours of Grenadiers laid up in St Paul's. The old Colours of the 2nd Battalion Grenadier Guards, the regiment, which has a long association with the City of London and is privileged to march through the City with drums beating, bayonets fixed and Colours flying were laid up in St Paul's Cathedral. The march through the City to the ceremony was cancelled owing to rain. The old Colours were presented to the battalion by King George V in 1921. Photo shows, the old Colours being carried into the Cathedral. 2 October 1938
