Three thousand spinsters marched from the Kingsway Hall, where they attended a meeting, to Hyde Park for a demonstration to protest for pensions for spinsters at the age of 55. The protest meeting followed the rejection of the spinsters' claims by Sir Kingsley Wood, Health Minister.
