Huge spider among Covent Garden bananas. Gordon George Glenview, an 18-year-old employee of Messrs, Mash and Austin, Covent Garden, was unpacking a crate of green bananas from Brazil when a large spider jumped out. The insect was thought to be a deadly tarantula. Glenville captured the spider, which has a span of 3 inches, and put it in a glass covered box.
