League committee of eighteen meets at Geneva . Eden and Laval address members of Franco and British proposals . The League Committee of Eighteen met in private at Geneva to discuss the Italo- Abyssinian dispute . Both Mr Anthony Eden , British member of the League , and M Laval , French Premier , addressed the meeting on the Franco British peace proposals . Until the council of the league meets next Wednesday , the Committee will examine the report of exports on the working of the application of sanctions , but will take no action on the extension of sanctions by an embargo on oil .
