Before the revolution the housing space in the Dorogomilovo District, provided mainly by wooden houses, constituted 127,064 sq metres. Since the establishment of the Soviet government tall apartment houses providing all the modern conveniences have been erected. In fufilment of the plan for the reconstruction of Moscow, 91,000 sq m. of housing space were built in the Kiev district form 1936-1939 alone. Undated.
