Gaston III of Foix-B嶧rn, also Gaston F嶵us or Gaston Phoebus (1331-1391) was the 11th count of Foix and viscount of B嶧rn (1343-1391). Jean Froissart recorded the splendour of the court of Orthez under Gaston F嶵us in the latter half of the 14th century. Gaston recorded the three "special delights" of his life as "arms, love and hunting". He wrote an important treatise on hunting entitled Livre de la Chasse, 1387. *** Local Caption *** 3594
