The elderly lady flower seller has set up her table and stock of bunches of cut flowers for every occasion outside a closed dairy shop in Paris, France, circa late 1950s early 1960s. A hand-painted 19th century style decorative glass panel with a traditional pastoral theme advertises Specialite de Beurre d'Isigny. Dairies were being closed down at this time so the flower seller could set up her table with all her flowers outside the empty premises. The shop would probably not have remained closed for long - enterprising shopkeepers might reopen their shop as a cake shop and keep the beautiful 19th century style painted glass panels with their traditional bucolic themes. Supermarkets were opening where customers still took their milk pail to buy their fresh milk that was ladled into it, but it was the end of an era.
