Cover of the Saucerian Bulletin in 1960, with an illustration of a famous UFO encounter. Father William Booth Gill was a missionary in Papua New Guinea when on 21 June 1959 he and 37 other witnesses saw a disc hovering overhead. They could see four beings on the craft, and other smaller saucers also appeared. This sighting lasted for more than four hours, and the UFOs came back the next day.
