Major developments in the mechanisation of farming appliances are demonstrated by the Ford motor company at Guildford, Surrey today. When a number of new devices which will help win Britain's vital battle for food were seen the first time. Among them were the Fordson front mounted tool bar, a device which will speed the cultivation of potato crops and the Bamford Major Mower, designed to work from the Bamford Major Tractor, which was also demonstrated. 31 March 1947
