Sorghum is an important crop worldwide, which is used for fodder, grain, sorghum molasses and to produce alcoholic beverages. Most varieties are drought and heat tolerant and as a result play an important role in providing food for people who reside in arid regions. This grain crop is also known as millet or milo.
