Sakalava weaver (Ploceus sakalava) male perching on a branch with plant material in its beak for weaving its nest. This bird is endemic to Madagascar, where it inhabits dry lowland forests and scrubland. The male has a distinctive yellow head. Like all weavers, it feeds on seeds. Photographed in Madagascar.
